The story of April and Caleb began on the 22nd of January 2021 at a lucky encounter of same place, same time.  April was playing a game of giant Jenga when, from out of nowhere, Caleb came with a big smile on his face and pulled a Jenga piece on April’s turn! For the rest of the night, they enjoyed each other’s company. Who knew that Caleb stealing a giant Jenga piece would lead to him stealing a giant piece of April’s heart!  

Soon after, they made dinner plans for their first date, but those plans changed when April got a call that her sister, Tammy, was being given a surprise birthday party.  They decided they would still go out, but their destination, the surprise birthday party.  There on their official first date, brave Caleb met up with April’s family, and like it was meant to be, they all enjoyed the night with easy laughter and joy!

Moment by moment, April and Caleb developed an easy, blissful relationship, the kind that sneaks up on you when Life wants to gift you great Love!  A few of their favorite moments include spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, cooking together, and taking vacations together!  Their favorite trips are beach vacations!  

Caleb would say his favorite vacation together was actually their first one when they went to Outer Banks, North Carolina.  With short notice, literally the night before, April invited him on her family vacation, and he said, “Yes!”  He fit right in with her family, even though he had a thermostat war with them throughout the whole week and was dying of heat exhaustion!  Ha ha!

While on another beach vacation, Caleb planned his proposal!  They were in Hawaii with her family.  Caleb stressed the whole vacation to find the perfect moment to propose.  Initially, his plan was atop Haleakala volcano at sunrise, but that fizzled when the family chose not to get up that early!  Haha, poor guy!  Proposal plans continued to evolve as the vacation was coming to an end.  The family had a photographer coming for pictures on the beach, so Caleb chose to go for it!  Unsuspecting April, believing they were just taking family photos, was elated when Caleb kneeled and asked her to marry him, as was the whole family!  Later, April would say this is her favorite vacation by far!
